Design studio

The Design Studio of the Department of Resource Management and Design Application provides an opportunity to the students to go through the interactive-creative process for designing and product development. The students learn and experiment with various concepts of interior design. The studio is equipped with housing models, designing tables (best suited for design work), drafting tools, and large presentation boards along with the landscape model. Students also practise AutoCAD and 3Ds Max software for house plans, kitchen and furniture designing. With increasing emphasis on appropriate posture and reduced muscle strain, students are trained to design ergonomically suitable furniture and workstations. In keeping with the current times, the component of sustainability is incorporated in the design component.
