(iv) Started Centre of sustainability’ by Department of Resource Management

2017

(i) The college launched two UG courses:
         B.A. (Hons.) in Journalism
         B.Sc. (Hons.) in Food Technology
(ii) The college was granted NAAC grade ‘A’
(iii) The college become the part of DBT ‘Star College Scheme’
(iv) The college became recipient of the DST ‘FIST Grant’.

2015

(i) Inauguration of state-of-the-art Gymnasium facility

(ii) Start of Nursery School ‘AARAMBH’ in the present campus.

2014

Inauguration of the new building block of the college comprising several labs

and lecture theatres.

2013

Launch of a four years undergraduate programme in Food Technology.

2011

The college celebrated its Golden Jubilee year.

2010

(i) Laying of Foundation Stone of the additional building block.
(ii) Launch of one-year PG Diploma in Health and Social Gerontology.

Launch of B.Sc. (Hons) Biochemistry course.

2004

A four-year degree course in B. El. Ed. was initiated.

The College shifted to the new Campus at Hauz Khas Enclave.

1995

(i) Inauguration of the Nursery School of the college.

(ii) Inauguration of the new campus of the college at Hauz Khas by Vice-
Chancellor, Deepak Nayyar.

1993

A two-year M.Sc. (Home Science) in Food & Nutrition was initiated.

1992

Launch of B.Sc. (Hons.) course in Microbiology.

1987

(i) A two-year M.Sc. (Home Science) in Textiles & Clothing was introduced.
(ii) Laying of foundation stone of the new campus by the then President, Giani
Zail Singh.

The college celebrated its Silver Jubilee.

Initiation of B.Sc. Home Science (Hons.) course

1972

Launch of one-year PG Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition.

1969

IHE formally affiliated to the University of Delhi. Started 3-year degree course in B.Sc. Home Science (Pass) with 80 students on rolls.

1961

IHE established by Founder Director Dr. (Mrs.) S. Malhan with a two-year Diploma in Home Science and a one-year course in Teacher’s Training.
