Doctoral Programmes/Ph.D

COURSES

The college offers doctorate degrees (Ph.D.) in all the five areas of specialization in Home
Science under the Faculty of Science, University of Delhi-India. The five areas of
specialization are:

  • Food and Nutrition
  • Human Development and Childhood Studies
  • Fabric and Apparel Science
  • Resource Management and Design Application
  • Development Communication and Extension

Eligibility requirements for admission

The eligibility criteria for admission is minimum 55% marks in Master’s degree/M.Phil./M.Tech./LL.M./M.D./M.S. Degree in the same or allied subject from a recognized University with 5% relaxation for OBC/SC/ST and Persons with Disability. The allied subjects for admission to Ph.D. in a particular Department shall be decided by the DRC of that respective Department.
